A snuggle, only retro

There are lots of beautiful and shiny things in the window of The Five Crows, but I was immediately drawn to these Vintage Thread Quilts by Barb Brown.
They look like grandma’s blanket chest and the clothes from playing dress-up all neatly folded together. These are luxury lap blankets, quilts actually, with the unexpected crafted together. Jeans mixed with cowboy fabric mixed with 60s bedspreads actually seem to make perfect sense in her hands. And each $125 blanket is different.
What’s really neat is the back isn’t a plain cotton. It’s a fleecy-faux fur that will keep you plenty warm, be it tossed in your lap while reading a book or at an early-season Little League game.
