Need the chocolate but can’t stand the calories? You can satisfy your sweet tooth in downtown Boston.
I just love stores that evolve out of kitchens, basements and push carts. Generally they’ve tested their merchandise slowly and know what is good and don’t carry the rest.
Whippoorwill Crafts is one of those stores. They’re now in downtown Boston after catering to the tourists near Boston Harbor, and they’re featuring the jewelry of Lexington artist Jane Barthelemy.
Her Chocolate Kiss Necklace is just yummy. It is gold vermeil, 34 inches long, and features a handful of flavors: dark chocolate, cinnamon, sundae, latte, cappuccino, fudge and whipped cream. I just love the chocolate dots used as spacers on this necklace.
It’s all fat-free and $189! This is candy you can splurge on without making your teeth itch. Oh, and she does make the Hershey’s-Kiss shaped earrings to match, just in case that sweet tooth isn’t satisfied.
