Pasta with a bonus

When you want to impress a dinner guest in your home, you’re going to want to hit Capone’s in Somerville.

Some of the best hostesses I know take their time making the table look beautiful, then run down to the local restaurant with a platter matching the table settings and have the pros set up dinner. You can do this all at home now, if you order some of the special pasta from Capone Foods in Union Square Somerville.

I like the Garlic & Parsley Pasta because you can serve it with plain old chopped tomatoes or have it compliment grandma’s red gravy made from a can of tomatoes or the fresh-picked fruits of last summer’s garden. As the star or a supporting cast member, this pasta deserves an audience.

The nice part is, you get to choose what cut of pasta you want — I’m a fan of vermicelli, but if you can wait that extra minute to cook fettuccine, well, good for you.

They’ll even send you the uncut sheet, if that’s what you want.

That’s a lot of choices for $3.95. And they’ll give you a discount if you order a case of 12.
