Don’t lose the watch. Pin it to your clothes

As my mother was approaching a milestone birthday, when asked what she wanted, she described a decorative pin she had in high school with a locket, carrying a watch inside.

tempo_time_tag.jpgWearing a timepiece as jewelry, and not on your wrist where it gets in the way of the keyboard, the diapers, the patients or whatever you have contact with at your job, seems like a great idea.

It appears the folks at the Gatehouse Gallery in Concord have been speaking with my mother. This Tempo “Time Tag” that you put on a sleeve, or a lapel, or an apron is definitely what mom had in mind. And they’re two for $18! That means I can get one for mom and for my husband.

Or maybe I’ll keep it for myself. I don’t want him using it as a tie clip so I see how late I am.
