A present to get all lathered up about

When I had my firstborn, the lady who introduced my husband and I came to the hospital to gloat about her matchmaking skills. She also matched me up with a La Source starter kit so I could have some spa time even while still in the maternity unit.
I have to say, these soaps are as far from a hospital smell as you can get. They’re lovely.
La Source soaps at Crabtree & Evelyn are just what the doctor ordered if you’re chasing after a toddler or carrying an infant all day. There’s something about the shea butter that is both soothing to the skin and almost orders you to take time for yourself.
I like the three big La Source bars in a box you can get for $16. I give them to all my friends who are no longer expecting. The box says it is for moisturizing and conditioning, but what it doesn’t tell you is it smells like “essence of when I used to have an hour to sit in the tub with a magazine.” I think it actually says “relaxing sea air fragrance.”
This box is for Sarah, who is letting me meet Mary Kate this weekend. Hopefully we can play while Sarah takes a soak.
