You didn’t tell me they had purses
Honestly, you have to tell me these things. Because I’m going to guess the Victoria’s Secret catalog, store or website only has underwear unless
you tell me.
But I was at the library looking up something bookish, and the lady at the next computer is looking at these really cute bags. Always the investigator, I ask her where she’s shopping and she says Victoria’s Secret.
No kidding on the secret, guys! Bags?
She found this ruched convertible tote to be great. It’s got a handle on top if it’s just loaded down with — um, books? — and it also has the shoulder strap for everyday use. Not bad at $39.99, but after Christmas, I’ve had it with red sacks. It does come in black however, so that’s worth another look.
I fell in love with the satchel by Kathy Van Zeeland. I’ve been chasing a high I had since holding in my hands a satchel with a retail price of $1,100 at a high-end department store, and I think this may cure my ills. It’s a nice shiny vinyl
without looking trashy with a suit at a meeting, but it would look so pretty with a networking cocktail dress. It doesn’t look mom-ish with organizational pockets inside and magnetic pockets that won’t dump out in the car, but that will be our secret.
Can you believe this is on clearance at $44.99? It comes in bronze, black and steel, but it comes in plum. Plum! Say no more!
By the way, the Victoria’s Secret website lets you scan bags and other lovely things by letting you just hit a “next” button so you can look at each piece on its own, get some details and move on. It’s wonderful to do a quick comparison shop on just one site this way, if a little addictive. You could just spend an hour in the library hitting the “next” button just to see what’s there.
